Oak Candle Snuff

Description
Hand-fabricated 925 Silver candle snuff with a rock forged surface and coiled details wire. Carrying traces of Glasgow's history, this oak handle was sourced from the storm-felled branches of a hungarian oak tree planted by suffragettes organisations in 1918 to commemorate the passing of the Representation of the People Act. This candle snuff acts as a thoughtful reminder of our material surroundings, by inviting you to slow down, take a moment and connect with the past.
Handles sourced and Cut by Glasgow based woodworker Annie Graham.
This series is a limited edition of 4.
Care
Silver will deepen in character over time, developing a natural patina and accumulating surface marks through use and wear. To maintain the original integrity of your purchase, I recommend simple maintenance practices, such as gentle cleaning, proper storage in a soft dark box and limiting contact with harsh chemicals such as chlorine. This can effectively preserve the longevity of your favourite pieces. If after time you would like to return your item to its original lustre a repolishing service is available for a small fee.
Refer to the care instructions included with each item, designed to help you keep your purchase in top condition.
